Application Instructions
After reading the instructions, please complete the online application as thoroughly as possible. When you are finished, click the 'SUBMIT' button on the left column of any application screen. Print the application agreement statement that appears after you submit the application. Return the printed application agreement statement with a nonrefundable fee of $30 ($50 for international students, $75 for nontraditional students) to the address below.
FRESHMAN APPLICANTS
You have completed high school and have earned less than 12
semester hours, or equivalent, of academic credit from another accredited
institution of higher education. High school students: You may apply as
early as the end of your junior year.
You will need to complete and send to Embry-Riddle:

An application agreement statement along with your
$30 application fee

An official copy of your high school transcript
sent directly from the high school to Embry-Riddle

Your General Education Development Test (GED) scores
sent directly from the testing agency to Embry-Riddle

If applicable, an official copy of your college transcript
sent directly from the college to Embry-Riddle

ACT or SAT I scores must be sent directly to Embry-Riddle
by the testing agency or be included in the official high school transcript.
Contact your high school guidance counselor or principal to find out
the location of a testing center nearest you. When you register for
the test, indicate on the form that you want a report of your scores
to be sent to Embry-Riddle.

Flight students accepted for admission: You are
required to submit a copy of your FAA Medical Certificate, Class I or
II at least 60 calendar days before your enrollment date.

If English is not your primary language, you must
have one of the following:
- A minimum score of 500 on the paper-based Test of English as a Foreign
Language (TOEFL)
- 173 on the computer-based TOEFL
- A grade of C or higher in a college-level English composition course,
or
- Successful completion of Embry-Riddle's Language Institute (Completion
of the English language program does not guarantee entrance into degree
programs.)
If available, we encourage all applicants for whom English is
not the primary language spoken at home to consider taking SAT I or ACT
standardized tests.

EARLY DECISION
Early Decision is a program open to high school seniors who
have identified Embry-Riddle as their institution of choice if offered admission.
Early Decision applicants must submit their application prior to December
1 for the following fall semester. Candidates admitted under the Early Decision
program commit themselves to enroll at Embry-Riddle and are required to
pay the tuition deposit by January 15 of the entering year. Additionally,
the candidates agree to withdraw all other college applications when notified
of acceptance by Embry-Riddle. A candidate can only be released from Early
Decision Contract under a financial hardship situation.
TRANSFER STUDENT APPLICANTS
You have earned at least 12 semester hours, or equivalent,
of college credit from one or more institutions of higher education such
as accredited community colleges, technical institutions, or universities.
You will need to complete and send to Embry-Riddle:

An application agreement statement along with a $30
application fee

Your official transcripts sent directly from all
previously attended institutions of higher education. You will need
to have a minimum combined cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0
from the all institutions that you attended. You do not need to submit
SAT I/ACT scores if you have successfully completed mathematics and English
composition courses for your chosen major. To properly evaluate courses
for transfer credit, we may request that you provide course descriptions
or syllabi from the college or university previously attended.

If you have had to interrupt your academic career for
personal and/or financial reasons or to serve in the military, your
academic record may not accurately reflect your academic ability. In
such a situation, submit a written statement with your admissions application.
NONTRADITIONAL STUDENT APPLICANTS
You have not previously earned 12 or more college credits
and have worked full time for at least three years
Embry-Riddle recognizes that full-time employment experience
often provides the motivation and discipline to excel in college and that
this drive to succeed may not be reflected in your high school academic
background.
You will need to complete and send to Embry-Riddle:

Documentation of full-time employment experience
(civilian, military, or any combination equaling three years)
NONDEGREE-SEEKING APPLICANTS
You are a working adult who may be interested in furthering
your education for retraining purposes or for enhancement of professional
skills. As long as you meet Embry-Riddle’s admission requirements
you may enroll in courses as a special student in a nondegree-seeking status.
You may continue your enrollment as long as you maintain satisfactory academic
status or until you file a formal application for admission as a degree-seeking
student.

International Applicants
|
|
You are a nonresident, nonimmigrant planning to study in the
United States, typically on an F-1 or a J-1 visa
You are asked to apply for admission at least 60 calendar
days before the desired enrollment date
You will need to complete and send:

An application agreement statement and submit a $50
application fee

An authoritative copy of official record of studies, grades
obtained, examinations passed, any diplomas, certificates, or degrees
received at all secondary, post-secondary, university and professional
schools attended must be sent directly to Embry-Riddle by the school
or institution. These records must arrive in the admissions office in
the original envelope with an unbroken seal to be considered official.
Both native documents and English translations are required.

To be admitted into a degree program, international
students who will not be graduating from an English educational system
or for whom English is not the
primary language must sit for the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign
Language) examination. The preferred score for admissions is a 213 (computer
based) or 550 (paper based). If students score below our minimum score
of 173 (computer) or 500 (paper) they will be deferred for enrollment
to our Embry-Riddle Language Institute (ERLI). Admission to ERLI does
not guarantee admission to an Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University degree
program. Admissions also encourages all of our applicants for whom English
is not the primary language spoken at home to consider taking the SAT
I to supplement their TOEFL score. This additional information will
aid the University in accurately assessing verbal skills. For more information

Standardized Test Scores
The SAT I: Reasoning Test or the ACT are strongly recommended for admission.
Standardized test results are always reviewed in conjunction with your academic
record and are never the sole factor used to determine eligibility.

Upon receipt of your application for admissions you will be
sent the appropriate information and applications for this service. A fee
is charged for this service. The evaluation will be sent directly to Embry-Riddle
by the evaluation service.
A bank letter, affidavit of financial support or scholarship
letter. If accepted for admission, international students must:
Submit an advance tuition deposit to the director of admissions. This
money will be credited toward payment of the first semesters tuition.
On receipt, the university will send a letter confirming enrollment
and issue the Certificate of Eligibility (I-20) form. Students who are
not enrolled in Embry-Riddle classes may have their I-20 certificates
revoked.
Present the Certificate of Eligibility to a U.S. embassy or consulate
to obtain a visa for entry into the United States. (The I-20 and the
visa must be in the
students possession before departure from the home country.)
Provide documentation of immunity to vaccine preventable diseases as
described in material sent from the university. At enrollment, all students
from areas determined to be endemic or at high risk for tuberculosis
will be required to have a tuberculosis skin test (Mantoux test) and
additional medical follow-up as needed and directed by the campus Health
Services office.
All flight students must provide an FAA Medical Certificate, Class I
or II, at least 60 calendar days before the desired enrollment date.
Students who do not have access to an FAA approved physician may take
this exam after arriving in the United States.
International students in any of the flight programs will be required
to complete additional screening procedures. Students desiring flight
programs will
be required to complete federal screening procedures where applicable.

How to Use the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Prescott Campus Online Application
|
To complete the online application, simply type your answers in the corresponding fields or select your answers from
the popup lists (where applicable).
After you complete a screen, click the NEXT button at the bottom or on one of the sections listed on the left
column to move to a different screen. Before you are allowed to jump screens, we will inspect your data on the current
screen for errors or inconsistencies. If errors or omissions are found, you will be returned to the screen to correct
your answer(s). Otherwise, your data will be saved and you will proceed to the requested screen. We also allow you to
skip to another screen without your new data being saved. Be aware that if you use the Skip & Jump function
on the left column, data on the current screen will not be saved and will have to be re-entered prior to submittal.
